Taking A Short Breather After the Launch

The last product just whacked me out! I've done all that needed doing to perfect it, and to launch it. Articles are all submitted to major directories (I use EzineArticles and iSnare) and I've created a squidoo lens and a hub page. Early days yet, but I have a good feeling about this.
It has been hectic. Now I need to decide what I'm doing next. I've just offered free coaching and mentoring to my SFI downline via email broadcast just minutes ago. I will be using Yahoo! Messenger and SKYPE to coach ten people at a time. Lets see if I get deluged with "I'm in" requests and then I'll be able to plan my next move as regards work. I so desperately want to get back to penning my novel, though. I'm reworking a novel I wrote in 1983 (still unpublished but it's already up on Lulu.com but I withheld its release); and then I'm well into the first chapter of my next novel. Wish me luck!

I recently received a poignant yet corny SMS message from a pal in Scotland, it read The world has been Obamarized! The fascination, amongst Africans, with all things African-American certainly goes way back. If you've lived in Africa this isn't news at all, and now, with Barack Obama becoming the very first African-American president of the United States Of America I can only see the Obamarization of the world -- and especially Africa -- getting bigger and louder by the day. Africans are now going totally bonkers over all things African-American. This article will reveal the possibilities of you making an enormous amount of money off the back of Ebony magazine -- a highly sought after AND well overpriced African-American magazine (among other black magazines) on the African continent.
In East Africa, where Obama's father was born, Ebony magazine is selling in the streets for up to a whopping $15 a copy. You and I both know it doesn't cost THAT much in America. In fact, it only costs $3.99 off the street and about $18.97 for an annual subscription comprising 12 issues. Why then is it so horrendously expensive in Africa? I did some research and went on to start my very own distribution network in the region; and here is how you too can start a home-based business selling Ebony magazines to Africa.
Based in Dar es salaam, it was pretty easy for me to collate this information because I live here. And what set me on this fascinating trail - believe it or not, was when I purchased Ebony magazine with Janet Jackson on the cover (I'm a HUGE fan of hers), and in that particular issue - April 2008, it read Does Janet Still Have It. I paid almost $15 for it and I thought... what a cheek! These magazines don't cost that much. I knew what an annual subscription costs, and this price just wasn't on. It was a blatant rip off! But hey, someone was making money from this and so I sought to find out who and how!
In my quest, I went on to interview newspaper and magazine vendors in the streets of Dar es salaam. The general feedback not only astounded me, it flashed and flaunted dollar signs to my face. I just HAD to get a piece of the action. I would be utterly mad not to. I did establish one thing though, that THEY (the vendors) wanted MORE magazines. It's like there was a voracious appetite for them. Some of these vendors were asking for HUNDREDS of magazines a month. Crazy money (that's what was running through my head)! I offered to help.
The secret to getting started with this business is to buy a magazine subscription out of America and have the magazines delivered to an address in the States. Your next piece of the puzzle would be to find a reliable distributor in Africa. This is the tricky part actually, because you can't trust just anybody. Someone you know--like a friend or relative, would be a much safer way to go. It is good to be cautious.
And in case you have neither of the above (no friends no relatives), consider joining a US-based network marketing company that sells Ebony magazine subscriptions. The advantage with this is you can leverage your way into Africa by recruiting Africans based in Africa, into your MLM business. This will earn you lucrative commissions out of Africa simply because THEY (your downlines) are working the business. Call it your bloodless coup d'etat. If you will.
Is Obama taking over the world? Oh, you bet he is! And with it, thankfully, come the hidden golden nuggets and outrageously profitable business opportunities -- much like this one -- that anyone serious about earning some extra cash on the side can very well do so working from home. I like to say: follow the plan to work the plan.

SFI Team Support - You Really Need to Think Of SFI As A Shop!

I get people asking me all the time ... what exactly is SFI? There are a lot of misconceptions about this, and I really would like to clear this up for you right here and now. You really need to think of SFI as a shop ... because that's what it is. And then you need to think: 'what is it I can sell to make money?'; And then you need to think, 'how about if I open a few more branches of my store around the world' ... that's what recruiting new affiliates into your business does for you, and that's it! The rest is easy. Focus on -- first, YOU making money through retail, and then SHOW your downlines how to do exactly what you're doing. How hard can that be?
I will admit, I myself do not focus on retail -- not entirely, my focus is on building a team - mainly. But in order to show my people how to work the retail business, I will venture out into retail and report back my exact formula to them. This is about sharing. OK. I'm done with this. I just had to get it out of my system.
Next topic: I've made a slight change to the title of my latest eBook. It kinda hit me while I was reading earlier this evening. How to Turn a 1000% Profit On Ebony Magazine (you know the previous title). Well that's all changed now on the eBook and whatever campaign goes out from now on. I've been working on the full article -- which will be going out on HubPages tomorrow. It is looking really good. But I know it will want a tweak or two by tomorrow (always the perfectionist).

I received a poignant yet pretty corny SMS message from a friend in Scotland the other day, it read The World Has Been Obamarized! And indeed it has. Wow! I hadn't realized how critically well-timed the release of my new eBook is because it shows you how to sell African American magazines to Africa where the market is REALLY all fired up and HOT for all things African American -- especially after Obama's historic win!
obama WordTracker count > 13515 Google daily est > 16,894 Yahoo! daily est > 4,852 MSN daily est > 2,108 Overall daily est > 23,836
barack obama WordTracker count > 9395 Google daily est > 11,744 Yahoo! daily est > 3,373 MSN daily est > 1,466 Overall daily est > 16,570
parents of barack obama WordTracker count > 4036 Google daily est > 5,045 Yahoo! daily est > 1,449 MSN daily est > 630 Overall daily est > 7,118
Now if that doesn't say something about Obama taking over the world, what does?
Gotta get back to work, this eBook is already going out to members of my SFI team, first, and should be on general release in 48 hours. I'm busy with the article that will go out to promote the eBook ... hence the slight delay.
Ciao for now!

I have spent the past two days working flat-out on this special report, ignoring all of my other work (would you believe it?), but I'm glad to announce that the report is now complete! I finished working on it today, everything I wanted to say is in, but I'll give it a day or so just to refine it ... and then you guys can have it for FREE!
I've just spent the past half an hour buying advertising on other Internet Marketing blogs via EntreCard, and I'm just about to begin writing an article to promote the eBook. This will hit all the major directories and I will also create a Squidoo lens.
I kinda have the feeling that this is going to be my last eBook. No, I'm not quitting, I just want a break to do other things. This eBook, I feel, brings my business round full circle. Hopefully, over the coming months it will go viral and accomplish for me it's intended purpose.
Blimey, I've even neglected my blog for a couple of days. Sorry about that, but it was well worth it, and I'm sure you guys will agree when you see the product I am about to unveil very soon.
Catch ya later!

I soft launched my new eBook (How to Earn 1000% Profit On Ebony Magazine) via email to my SFI downline yesterday (even though I'm still putting the finishing touches to it). It is looking good. I want to launch two versions of it; one for the general public (as a recruiting tool); and one for my SFI downline (as a business opportunity).
I've been easing my way back to work. Had an affiliate pop by the house for training today. And I'm just rolling with the punches. I have a huge pile of documents to read here (some studying I have to do to launch a client's product). A very interesting read, but my word there's so much of it! I've had to suspend most of my work just to get through this mountain of text (on harcopy thank goodness!).
Nuf for today, catch up with y'all tomorrow.

I spent most of the day just clearing my mail and participating in forums. I'm a little exhausted now. It has been a long drawn-out day. I started work on a new eBook How to Earn 1000% PROFIT On Ebony Magazine! I will get stuck into it tomorrow. This, I intend to make available to you guys FREE in the not so distant future. Watch this space!
I've been listening to jazz music on Yahoo! and Jazz FM all day. I'm now listening to R&B on Yahoo! Well, I'm easing myself back to work. Hey?
That's it for now. Don't have a lot to say today, but had to drop this note nonetheless.
Catch you all later!

It quite astounds me how three days have gone by without me ever touching the computer. I so desperately needed the break just to unwind and to recharge my batteries. That said, I've had some pretty rough-going offline shenanigans to contend with meanwhile. I don't know whether I should be telling you this -- please don't judge me by it, but I have been utterly obnoxious at people who've ticked me off (pissed me right off!). I yelled, screamed and made demands! I'll give you one scenario where a pharmacist refused to return money to my housemaid just because she'd changed her mind about buying the medicines (long story); I later got on the phone and shrilled at them and DEMANDED they pay her back the next morning; and when she went and they didn't, I got on the phone and literally SCREAMED at them and then went to pay them a visit. It wasn't pleasant. I gave them an earful and I demanded they open the till and hand over the money... and they did
. Can you believe that? I just went utterly MAD!! Well, that wasn't the only incident that provoked my alter ego to the surface, there's more, but I figure I've said too much already. Lol.
Back to the grinding stone now. I got stuff to do. I'm launching a major product several weeks down the line and I have a lot of preparatory work to get stuck into. And I'm also planning to launch a new product in the next few days. I am so busy it's driving me crazy. But I feel a lot better now AND pretty much up for it after the 3-day break. I just have to keep going till I've cleared up the backlog (or till I drop!). Wish me luck.

I had another VERY interesting conversation with Emmanuel today, AND got his permission to publish the content of our Yahoo! Messenger chat on my blog. He agreed. So here we go, it gets a bit heated, so brace yourself. (I really shouldn't be doing this.)...
Anthony Namata: Hi, read this thread on keywords in articles. The last post is particuarly interesting http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/23058-how-boost-article-rankings-google.html#post200381
emmanuel kamala has signed back in. (10/26/2008 9:21 PM)
emmanuel kamala: Wil do that
emmanuel kamala: Thanks
Anthony Namata: Hey, how are you?
emmanuel kamala: I'm cool,and you?
Anthony Namata: Had a nasty day!!! In that you will see that going overboard with the keywords can have you flagged ... more harm than good
Anthony Namata: (in that link)
emmanuel kamala: Sorry 2 hia that, but if u optimize properly wit the keyword, there is no problem? Right
Anthony Namata: no problem if you do it right
Anthony Namata: heading, first paragraph and 3 in-between.
emmanuel kamala: Ya, i remember i read those rules, from an ebook u sent me previously
Anthony Namata: is a good formula... which should come naturally really as that is what you will be talking about anyway.
Anthony Namata: To find out what people are searching for online go to http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends and then write an article around that niche -- this is updated hourly by Google
emmanuel kamala: Yap thats a nice structure,
Anthony Namata: To find out how many people are searching certain keywords and phrases go to http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/ that will help you find the best keywords to use and even good article titles
emmanuel kamala: I found that link recently, and there's google keyword search tool
emmanuel kamala: Its a nice one too
Anthony Namata: which, the first or secind link?
Anthony Namata: second
emmanuel kamala: There's this link http://www.google.com/select/keywordexternaltool
Anthony Namata: page not found
emmanuel kamala: Let me check the link again
Anthony Namata: That Blogged Yahoo Messenger Chat we had the other day was read 421 times off the Blogrush syndication widget. It is the most successful click-thru I've ever had with BlogRush ever. Amazing how people love to eavesdrop on other peoples' conversations!
Anthony Namata: Maybe I should blog this too???
emmanuel kamala: Sorry its https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Anthony Namata: Thanks
emmanuel kamala: Wow! Thats great, 421 times, its amazing! Ok no problem
Anthony Namata: Thanks
Anthony Namata: AMAZING! It is quite possible that blog post sent a bit of traffic to your ezine articles link too. Madness! And I LOVE it!
emmanuel kamala: I never knew this, its great form of getting traffic
Anthony Namata: And also, it was syndicated to 1,246 blogs which means my conversion to hits from that post alone is closing in on 50% thus far. CRAZY traffic!
Anthony Namata: Well, I guess it's an accidental discovery worth pursuing
emmanuel kamala: ya,very accidental, i never imagined it could get such an astonishing traffic
Anthony Namata: I know, man oh man
Anthony Namata: I just checked out the Google keyword link you gave me. Nice. Got it bookmarked. Cheers
emmanuel kamala: ya, its a great one
Anthony Namata: My gosh, how bloody hot is today? I'm going crazy. I want to use the airconditioners now (costs a bloody bomb as you know). This country IS expensive!
emmanuel kamala: very hot nowadays,
emmanuel kamala: i don't even go out very often
emmanuel kamala: unless its really important
emmanuel kamala: i wanted to say also this form of blogging its like creating a podcast interview, only that this is in form of writing
Anthony Namata: Tell me about. It is madness. I have a visitor from Rwanda who arrived today, he can't bear the heat. It's too hot for him. He is an SFI affiliate who's come to see me about a HUGE purchase he wants to make from SFI -- $50 worth of goods
Anthony Namata: Typo, again... (tell me about it!)
Anthony Namata: Oh and that was $50,000 worth of goods!!
emmanuel kamala: what??
emmanuel kamala: 50,000USD??
Anthony Namata: yep
emmanuel kamala: oh my gosh u have hit a jackpot
Anthony Namata: and paradoxically, HIS immediate upline (Tanzanian), is bloody sleeping. Not even an EA. I will take ALL of the commission. That's what it means really! And I warned him about this months ago but he just doesn't give a damn. Well, his loss!
emmanuel kamala: ya, thats true
Anthony Namata: I wonder whether I should blog this, really, it is getting toooo hot. Waddya say?
emmanuel kamala: I think its great, if its too hot, lets keep on the heat
Anthony Namata: Maybe I should blog it afterall, it would be a lesson to be learned by affiliates who don't take action even when you send them a warning about what is about to happen
emmanuel kamala: Ya thats right, though this month i didn't take action too, but its a warning for me too
emmanuel kamala: I have to go sleep now, tomorrow i have to wake up early.
Anthony Namata: He he, didn't mean it that way. You see HE was an EA and active for a few months and then dropped out of action. You haven't quite started yet but you ARE writing articles to promote your gateways and I don't think you have a downline yet. HE on the other hand does have a downline which I helped him build through MY co-op. Can you imagine?
Anthony Namata: Me too, gotta hit the sack. Goodnight now!
emmanuel kamala: Ok, i understand, happy sack hitting
Anthony Namata: Cheers. You too.

Is Twitter Rapidly Replacing Email Marketing?
|
|
Friday, 24 October 08 - 11:26 AM (GMT +03:00) By Anthony J Namata in Diary |
|
I don't know about you, but I've had it to my eyeballs with email! I get so much of it, it makes my head spin. I do read the important mail and trash the rest... err, and that would include Guru mail. Trashed! (Sorry dudes, but there really isn't enough time in a day.) That said, it makes me wonder, at times, whether it is worth having a list. I canned mine 3 years ago. Just couldn't be bothered anymore. The only list I now have is the one that is built into my SFI Contact Manager through which I reach my entire downline (THOUSANDS of them) with one click.
Now let's talk about Twitter. I read almost ALL the Tweets by the people I follow (and by those that follow me), and every single day new people are following ME on Twitter (thank you guys!). It is becoming more and more apparent to me, henceforth, that people DO read the Tweets AND are hungry for it. But if I were to ask these same people whether or not they read their email, chances are many of them would say they didn't. Twitter is indeed POWERFUL -- in any language -- and I think if you can position yourself to Tweet (NOT SPAM), you may find yourself doing far better than you would with a list. Your Twitter followers are far more likely to READ your posts ... which, needless to say, can result in quality traffic to your website -- or blog. Hope this helps to inspire you into taking a serious look at Twitter.

I need your help. I know I can Google this, but I would rather hear it from you! I find the best way to get to know the communities with which you want to do business, is to get to know the people. Network marketing is a people business, and there really is no better way to interact with REAL people online than via a forum. So: can you recommend some busy, well-populated forums in Malawi that I can join?
If you know of any, please leave a comment below. Thanks!

Something Stone Evans said that REALLY made me stop to think. You see, he is almost a God on the Internet marketing circuit, and I would LISTEN to what He has to say. Sure as hell I will. As it happens, as he says on his profile, he promotes only to those people who have been in an opportunity before, as they have some kind of experience, and they have cash-in-hand ready to spend on another opportunity. Now THAT, is powerful. Because when I look at his conversions / upgrades rate on the SFI leader board, he is way ahead of EVERYBODY. He and the SuperAffiliate Ewen Chia. There's got to be something in what they do that makes it work for them. Yes?
I've been down the road recruit-everybody-and-anybody-that-sounds-like-they-want-to-earn-some-extra-cash and believe me, it is hard work. The fact of the matter is, with the avalanche comes an incredible volume of people who simply aren't serious about starting a business online. They simply joined because it was free to join and didn't do much else after that. Now, looking at Mr Evan's strategy AND based on fact (I've seen his upgrades!), I think it makes perfect sense. So: what are you going to do about this bit of information? Well, I for one, will act upon it REAL fast. I wrote a letter to Gery Carson (Founder & President of SFI) the other day, asking for his permission to start a premium memberships only team with SFI. I need his permission because what I'm proposing actually violates SFI rules. If he were to allow me to do this, HE would have to change the rules to accommodate my request because what I plan to do would mean cross-solicitation within the SFI network itself in the true sense of the word. When I hear back from him, you will be the first to know.
I hope this has made you think. Come back next time, I may have heard back from Gery.
Until next time, Ciao!
My Yahoo! Messenger Chat Blogged!

I had a very interesting conversation with an SFI affiliate on my team today, so much so that I asked for his permission to publish the content of our Yahoo! Messenger chat on my blog. He agreed. So here we go, the chat we had on article marketing (especially) is as follows...
emmanuel kamala: Hi, how's malawi?
Anthony Namata: Hi there, I was watching isidingo. I missed the Friday show
emmanuel kamala: Great, ön my side these days i'm missing it a lot, sometimes i watch the weekly repetition on weekends
Anthony Namata: Oh, shame. I like the show. About Malawi, it went very well. I'm getting ready for campaign #2
Anthony Namata: how are the articles doing? getting traffic to your sites?
emmanuel kamala: Great to hear that,
emmanuel kamala: Going great, a little bit of traffic but no sale, thats why i thought i have to learn seo
emmanuel kamala: I started writing another article early this morning, but suddenly power went off,and my laptop went out of charge
emmanuel kamala: I was in the mood to write,so i decided to continue writing on the phone,
Anthony Namata: Article marketing isn't all about SEO, it's about quantity and quality. Don't write for the search engines. Write on paper meanwhile, it's just as good if not better, or you may lose your train of thought for the article
emmanuel kamala: So what you are saying is that i should just improve the quantity and quality, and not base much on SEO?
Anthony Namata: Ideas. Keep those coming and put them down on paper (or your PC). Quantity works like this: if you have 10 articles and each get 10 hits, you will have 100 hits in total. If you have 100 articles and each gets 10 hits, you will have 1000 hits. Quality works like this: if your articles benefit the reader in whatever way -- as opposed to what many marketers tend to do -- they spin meaningless words together just to "put out" an article to drive traffic to their website, then you've got a recipe for success. Consider this, Michael Jackson's strategy was to put out an album every 5 years. It made people WANT the next album, and when it arrived it flew off the shelves. He kept them eager for his work by limiting his output.
Anthony Namata: Can I blog this chat we've just had (as is)? I think it will benefit my readers. I can add your signature at the end of the article or a link back to your EzineArticles. But I would need your permission, first.
emmanuel kamala: Thanks! Sure, you have my permission
Anthony Namata: cheers
In summary: I had a rotten day yesterday, working on an equally rotten deadline and I just got so derailed. Literally. I needed a day just to recover from that. I've just come from spending a few hours reading a report (on hard copy thank goodness) on Product Launching, and I thought I'd pop here quickly just to blog this. I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did, and that you picked up a couple of handy hints that got you thinking. Read Emmanuel's articles on EzineArticles.com.

Is Outsourcing Growing Bigger Or Is It Me?

In fact, there is a ripple effect going on here (around the world); my cousin asked me what was happening with my business as a result of this crisis and I told him I was getting MORE work! Enviable position to be in isn't it? Because people are feeling the crunch (my cousin says he is), it seems to be affecting everybody. Well, if you've got marketable skills, take a look at my previous blog post on outsourcing and get started with picking up some work on the internet. GetAFreelancer is quite competitive but a really good place to find work quickly. And now there is the European version EUFreelance!
As for my day: I haven't done a lot. Nothing actually. There's been a death in the family. My cousin's father in-law passed away yesterday (popped his clogs as they say), so I was out there for most of the afternoon. And then got back at 4pm, had a meal, a shower and crashed till 7pm. I am totally rejuvenated now and ready to work till the wee hours. I'll blog this for now; go watch some wrestling (WWE) on TV; back to work... and catch up with you guys tomorrow.
God bless!
